• " This is a beautiful hotel situated outside of Palma on Mallorca. The hotel is really a resort, on a large property with a golf course, tennis, etc. There's a great indoor-outdoor pool, plus another large outdoor pool, workout center, and even a little general store. Dining prices are reasonable, and often for lunches I would just grab a baguette and cheese from the store. I also did an Island tour set up by the activity desk. It was a quality full-day tour. My room was large, very comfy bed (down comforter, lots of pillows, pillow-top bed etc), the yellow color scheme was pleasant without being frilly, the high ceilings (even on the first floor) were accented by crown moldings, and the marble bathroom was modern and very clean. As far as Euro standards, this was a 5*. By US standards, 4.5* (it's not the Ritz, but it is def. upscale and well done. Staff was friendly and organized. "

• " I really enjoyed my stay at Marriott Son Antem Resort and Spa. From the minute I arrived this hotel exudes luxury, service and style; beautiful entrance foyer, rooms, pools and spa. It's surprisingly manageable and easy to get around the hotel as well, being only on 2 floors. The facilities are great, and for the most part the staff are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the hotel is let down by the restaurant staff who, with a few exceptions, are not very friendly, welcoming or personable. But there are many other places to eat in towns a short drive from the hotel. Plus Palma is just 20 mins drive away. The Marriott hotel bar also serves a nice selection of food. Overall I really enjoyed this hotel and I'd recommend it as an ideal base for a fly-drive holiday to Mallorca. "
