The house is noted as being of historical and architectural interest, and listed Grade II. It boasts a wealth of oak beams and an enormous inglenook fireplace in the lounge, which is for guest use. The sloping floors in some rooms, and heavily beamed landing, give a truly authentic atmosphere of times gone by. This establishment holds the coveted Gold Award from the English Tourism Council, which is only given to a handful of the best bed and breakfasts in the country.
