This place really is hard to beat. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, including fridge and microwave, the location puts you right in the heart of Hollywood, there's free parking, a laundromat next door and a supermarket across the street, and the price is great too. We found the staff on check-in incredibly unhelpful (wanted us to pack every morning in case they wanted to move us to another room in our absence, until we protested) and the neighbourhood might be a little shabby for a female on her own, but we felt safe. The free wireless was also very spotty, but hey, it's free! Overall, great value.

We only had a 5 minute interaction with the front desk staff upon checking in and everything went smoothly. The room was ready and exceeded my expectations. It looked and performed well enough for a one night stay. Parking is sparse however prepare to arrive early to find parking in its tiny lot. Also, bigger trucks might have a problem entering the lot in the first place, since the driveway is pretty narrow.

If you are staying at this hotel it is very close to the Pantages Theater. On the down side, it is bad for parking; the staff is not the most helpful people you could wish to meet. I got charged for two rooms when I only booked one so graceful and check that your credit card to ensure that the bill is not duplicated.
