• "The next night there was an electrical fire: we were up on the 12th floor at that point, where the alarm stated use the stairs. After going down 12 flights of stairs, an attendant outside tells us, false alarm. We get back up to the 12th floor and the alarm says go out. We go back down 12 flights and this time there are 5 fire units, we smelled electrical fire in the stairwell (had to divert staircases), and still no instruction. When outside, only about 50 guests were there: a lot of people never heard the alarm, while a lot were sitting in the lobby or next to the building. Not once did anyone say anything to us at that point. Staff didn't deter anyone from coming or going yet the fire fighters were still in the building investigating. Finally when the units left, we went back in, asked a staff member if it was okay to come back at which she haughtily proceeded to tell the group coming in that it was merely a cigarette that had been lit. I explained about the electrical fire smell on the 12th floor stairwell at which I was rudely disregarded along with other guests who smelled the same. The staff member ignored us and acted very rude. The people all around us all agreed it was scary to go back into the building when staff didn't even acknowledge the problem. The next day we found it was indeed an electrical fire. hotel was pretty: staff ruined it all!"

• "Aside from the incredibly slow service of the restaurants, we really enjoyed our stay. I would stay again, but would definitely plan to eat off of the property. The only change I would make to the room is to offer an in room refrigerator to store snacks and beverages."

• "Loved the customer service, from the bellman to the concierge, to the room service, to the "at your service" reply anytime you press "0" on the phone. They were so gracious & helpful! The Grilled Salmon salad was superb! Having never stayed in San Diego, I didn't realize it would be such a drive to the places my teenagers wanted to go i.e. Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Coronado Island, the Gaslamp District. It was still worth the stay, though!"
