• " The hotel must have had some sort of event happening that they did not tell travelers about ahead of time. There was a car show with people barbecuing in the parking lot. There was nowhere to park and it looked unsafe and was inconvenient. The room smelled terrible, like harsh chemicals and cleaning supplies. It was nice to know the room was cleaned but it was so bad that we had to leave the doors open and it was very cold outside. This made us uncomfortable. The bathroom was small and the shower was uncomfortable and dirty, I had to wear my shoes inside. Overall, good for someone who wants to come in and out. Not romantic at all, the only benefit was that it was close to Hearst Castle. Other than that, I will not stay there again. "
