• " The Des Moines Marriott was a great weekend get away. The staff was very friendly, willing to offer up phone numbers of nearby places of interest, provide shuttles to the downtown bar scene, and even provide prompt valet service. Overall, the hotel is a great pick for the price and it is very well maintained and the location is phenomenal to downtown Des Moines destinations. "

• " Hotel is located close to nice resturants and other things in the downtown area. The lobby is beautiful, and the bar/resturant is nice too. Rooms aren't as posh as the lobby, but well worth the money. Only downfall is no free wi-fi. Does have a computer in the lobby, but was inconvenient for what we needed it for. Staff is very helpful and friendly!! "

• " My overall experience was pretty good. The rooms were very clean I liked the Bath and Body amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially a young suited man working late on Saturday night on the outside of the hotel, his name escapes me. I try to look for name tags when someone is so helpful. He was very knowledgeable of places to eat, dance, etc. Besides the bad experience with the hot tub. One another negative was it took seriously 5 minutes to get an elevator. I was not in a hurry luckily and did not have a lot of luggage but for others it was a severe inconvenience. The friendly staff helped me and others overlook these issues somewhat. The hot tub really needs improvement though. "
