As we are excited about the Downtown Kansas City renovation and the upcoming opening of the Power and Light District, the 12th Street beautification process has begun. Guests unloading their vehicles at The Hotel Phillips may experience a bit of inconvenience due to this temporary traffic diversion. While the street directly in front of the hotel undergoes this improvement, the city will utilize our unloading area as a traffic lane. During this time, our valet will be happy to assist you with your unloading and parking just around the corner from the hotel, outside the entrance of 12 Baltimore, one of our on-site restaurants. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we look forward to welcoming you to The Hotel Phillips and an improved Downtown Kansas City! • " Both nights we were awaken at 6 a.m. to a noise that sounded like a jack-hammer. We assumed it was construction along the street. Turns out, our room was right across from the laundry room, and the machines were making the noise. I alerted staff and suggested they reconsider when they do their wash. I didn't get a satisfactory response. "

• " Within walking distance of sprint center, dining, and nightlife. I don't think there was any free parking. We didn't spend much time at the hotel or even get a chance to look around it and the restaurant. It was lovely and the staff was nice. "
