• " The hotel is located on Long Island City, just opposite of the United Nations. The Hotel provides a free Shuttle to the 33rd street stop in line 7. It takes approximately 45 min to get into Mid-Manhattan, involving the shuttle ride or a 10-min walk to the subway, wait for the next available train, and one transfer. Returning to the hotel in the evening may take a similar time. The streets are safe and well lit. The hotel sends the Shuttle to pick up hotel guests until 10:45 p.m. if given a call a few minutes before arrival. I would personally advice to take a cab for later returns (It cost me 15 USD to return from the vicinity of Grand Central. The Hotel personnel is very attentive and helpful. The room is very modern, ample and spotlessly clean. The coffee machine is a nice touch. Free local calls and plug-in internet are also very welcomed extras. The complimentary breakfast was very good and hearty enough to go through the entire morning. I liked the possibility to order food from nearby restaurants into the room in the evenings. The hotel is an excellent choice for those willing to spend some time in the subway every day, or those with private transport. "
