The Gramercy Park Hotels Haute Bohemian heritage has been honored and renewed in the transformation by Ian Schrager. It represents a sensuous vision of artful diversity. The hotel has been created by Ian Schrager and long time partners and friends- including painter Julian Schnabel. The hotel features a rotating collection of original artwork- created by modern masters including Julian Schnabel- Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol. Of the 184 guest rooms- 44 are Suites- and all evoke a warm residential feel. The guest rooms feature flat screen LCD TVs with DVD players- iPod docking stations- and wireless high speed internet access. Unique pieces of furniture are juxtaposed with original creations by Julian Schnabel and Maarten Baas. Additional room features include leather topped hand stitched desks- Mahogany English drinking cabinets- custom imported 400 thread count Italian linens- best of collection of bathroom amenities and minibar refreshments- newspaper delivery- fresh flowers and turn down service. The Private Roof Club and landscaped garden- with its incredible indoor and outdoor spaces- functions as your own private living room and drawing room- and will also function as New Yorks premier event space. Rose Bar and Jade Bar are two of the most original and exciting public spaces in New York- offering exotic and delicious cocktails. Opening in Spring 2007- will be a fine dining Chinese Restaurant. • " The hotel was run down and unkept. I stayed in the hotel the very last days it was open. While I was eating breakfast on the day I checked out, the demolition crew arrived and started to haul out furniture to the dumpsters. They had already removed the lobby furniture and the ATM. "

• " Beautiful old property with spacious rooms, but it needs some inspection. Elevators bounce up and down and struggle to climb when more than 4 people are aboard ( the limit I believe is 10 people aboard, but I would never ride it in that case). "
