Nestled in the 'Heart of the High Country', we are within minutes of the area's best attractions and destinations, including Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Sugar Mountain Golf and Ski Resort, Beech Mountain, Lee's McRae College, Appalachian State University and the best golf courses, hiking trails, fishing outfitters and rafting adventures the area has to offer. Enjoy our mountain themed lodge offering pool view as well as mountain view rooms. All rooms have 25' color television with STARZ and ENCORE, DVD player, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, coffeemaker, dataports and voice mail. Enjoy our beautiful courtyard area including a large outdoor heated pool (open year round), picnic areas with gas grills, swing and deck area surrounded by picturesque mountain views. In addition, we are proud to be the area's only 'Pet Friendly" hotel. Completely renovated in 2004. Hotel is now 100% non-smoking. Must be 21 years old to register.

• " I was very unimpressed with the hotel restaurant; it was set up with a very small buffet like most hotels would give free continental breakfast, which I thought it was until I got a $25 bill for myself and 2 young children. There were no signs menus or anything relaying it was not with the stay. That was a surprise. "

• " This was my second stay here. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Could have used a microwave and/or refrigerator. The steps leading to the second floor had been covered to mask their unevenness. This presented a hazard if you were not expecting it--especially when you had an arm load of luggage. At night you could here a great deal of noise from adjoining rooms. "
