• " For one and a half stars, this place wasn't too bad to stay at. I basically needed a place to stay for a night before graduation. All I needed was a bed, a bathroom, and an iron. After borrowing a better working iron from the front desk, this hotel met my expectations. I don't know what their policy was on animals, but I heard someone else's dog barking through my bathroom wall. I would have said something, but it stopped barking by the time I went to bed. "

• " The Red Carpet Inn is minimally adequate for the business traveler who is only looking to stay briefly in Downtown Scranton and for whom convenience of location is a top priority. Rooms are minimally furnished, breakfast is a misnomer, and excessive paperwork at check-in and check-out is a pain. Rooms are not networked for internet. "

• " Somewhat desolate-looking location. But it's really not that far a walk from the main drag. Except if it's very cold out! Close to the Banshee bar/restaurant (a very short walk across the street from the back of the hotel), a truly outstanding looking establishment inside. High ceilings, beautiful woodwork, fireplace. "
