It was a very pretty hotel, and clean for the most part. The shower was filthy, we have no idea what was on the bathtub basin. They gave us the wrong room keys the first time. We couldn't get an early check in, and when we arranged for a late check out, they tried to get into our room early- twice. The neighborhood was bad. The offer valet parking, for 10.50 (plus mandatory tip of 3$). They don't tell that you can park on the street for free, but they did tell the lady in front of us in line that her car could be broken into if she left it on the street. The hotel has nice staff but they lack attention to detail. The first keys to a room I was given was to a room that was already occupied, lucky for me they were not in their room, the second room had paper thin floors, I could hear every foot step from the room above in this old building, the garden rooms, it was loud. The third room was just right. Finally.

This is a renovated old building with interesting (but small) rooms and a friendly, helpful staff. It is set at the edge of a rather run-down neighborhood, but close to the capital building. It has a good deal of charm, but seems a little "down-at-heel" Central location is useful, street parking is limited, but valet parking is offered.

This hotel has a rustic appeal that reminds one of the small rooms in Europe. However, with the bugs that come into the room every night, it takes away the appeal. The carpets in the room were filthy. I thought we had purchased a double room, but we received a double bed only. It's not family friendly, no amenities for small children. The staff is exceptional though. They are able to recommend services for nearby establishments.
