Hotel Guest Reviews of the Howard Johnson Columbia

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

quiet and spacious room. Nice space for breakfast area
The floor was sticking in the back hallway, but otherwise it was very clean.

Horrible hotel. Unsafe! So bad I didn't even check in. Waste of my money I guess! There should be some reinbursment for hotels that are this bad. I went and paid for a nicer hotel even though this was paid for. I will avoid Priceline iColumbia Mo.

Ok, it's a 2 star hotel so my expectations were not great but I did not expect this! Horrible dirty hotel that appeared to have homeless people and illegal activities taking place in the parking lot. I didn't stay it was un safe and un acceptable for humans. Don't stay here!

Easy access to the university. Decent continental breakfast.
Needs some updating. Room was a bit gross with dark hairs on the bed.

We were visiting the University of Missouri and the location was great.
The rooms were very small. The waffles at breakfast would not cook properly.

The staff was good. I should have gone with the Motel 6 at the lower price.

The hallways smelled of smoke and therefore permeated the non-smoking rooms.

Clean, pleasant; helpful staff, good location.
Small complaint: poor cable TV connection that interrupted viewing (hey, it was the NCAA Final Four!).

Decent place to stay. Our room was rather snug and at the back of the facility and I discovered two interesting facts while there: 1)The rather smallish room was reserved for Priceline and other discount booking companies and 2) We paid about twice as much as regular customers in additional charges/taxes so our saving from using Priceline was negligible. (I saw on the desk charges for other guests). We have saved big time at major/luxury hotels with Priceline but not at middle/lower end motels. ...read more

Sadly most hotels in the area are out of date and somewhat run down. This one was clean.
the only downfall in my opinion they allow animals and this killed my allergies.

convenient. Close to highway and Friday's next door is a plus.
On the way in the constant beeping of the fire/smoke detector was annoying and someone left their groceries in my fridge. That should have been cleaned out.

Overall it meets my needs. I love Jessica at the front desk. She is always helpful.
