Howard Johnson Express Inn - Leavenworth

Our room was directly above the lobby but the soundproofing was excellent. We never heard a single noise from downstairs or the street. There was a microwave, coffee maker and mini-fridge, blow dryer, ironing board and iron, extra pillows, free wi-fi, free waffle breakfast (there were other food items, but I didn't actually go to breakfast so I don't know exactly what, although my husband and children did.) I think we could have done better. There was nothing special or exceptional about this hotel. I did however like the beds, very comfy. They did have down comforters but then put a crappy old bed spread over the top of the comforter.

I'm sorry but I would rather sleep in my car then stay in this Hotel again, Between the room and the children running in breeze way it made for a poor stay. The Hotel needs to have a make over and some building safety improvements.

We booked a Non-smoking.no pets room through express deals,Our expectations were set to minimum due to past reviews. But we were amazed by the room we were provided.There was no rush at all anywhere. It was hardly a 2 min wait to complete the check-in process unlike my previous trips. There was refrigerator, Microwave,decent TV(no lcd/led) I am sure not many of us travel and sit a hotel room to watch TV. beds were enough comfortable and neatly arranged. Bathroom was neat. There was a nice sofa inside this 2 queen bed room.(though our requirement was for one bed)Once don't expect a 4 start kind of a hotel.You get what you pay for. We were very pleased with our room for the price. The room was dated and plain but very clean, large and in good condition. The continental breakfast had the usual muffins, bread for toast, cereal, belgian waffles, plus biscuits and gravy, and hot drinks. We will stay here again.

If I had known that it was going to be this HoJo's I would have not booked it. There are several other places in the local area that are a better bargan for the cost. If it were not for the fantastic staff I would have taken the loss and gone elsewhere.

I would recommend this hotel if you want to save a bit of money. They have a nice breakfast and clean bathrooms. The hotel is a small walk to the town, but completely doable.

Definitely worth the price. The hotel needs updating, but then they'd charge more. Good location in Leavenworth, a short walk from everything. We were here for the outdoors, not for the hotel. Perfectly decent place. Very friendly, helpful staff.
