Hotel Guest Reviews of the Howard Johnson Inn Mystic

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Very reasonable price for a great loaction.
Outdated and pool wasn't anything to write home about. Generally a hotel with indoor pool is much more expensive so I guess I shouldn't complain.

For the price it's definitely worth it if you can manage your expectations. The rooms are a good size and we had a jacuzzi tub which was nice. Having an indoor pool was great even though it was a bit overchlorinated. Overall a good experience.

The location was great, appearance looked cheap. Kids had a great time and the pool area was clean.
It was stated that breakfast was included with the room. When we arrived it was not.

Generally the room was fine for the price paid. However had I known that breakfast was not included I would have chosen a slightly more expensive hotel

Staying on the first floor, we could see the light and HEAR THE FAN through the cracks in the ceiling from the bathroom above. The pool patio was INSANELY slippery. Our three year old slipped and hit his head.

Not worth the money. With all the hotels in this area, best to avoid this one.

It was what we expected. The staff was good.
A bar would have been nice but it was fine.

Good. Staff was helpful and friendly

The beds were very comfortable. And the rooms were very clean.
They didn't provide any type of breakfast and the bottom and steps in the pool are very rough but we made due and had a great weekend.

The front desk people here were fantastic, wonderful pool.
Not really.

If you wish to participate in all the tourist attractions available in Mystic, then this is a great place to stay. It is across the street from Mystic Village and walking distance to Mystic Aquarium. The Mystic Seaport is about a mile away. The indoor pool is great. The Mystic Diner and Friendly's are both next door, so good family places to eat. The rooms are clean and bright, the bathrooms are good. You can park close to your room. I like this place and would return. ...read more

The location is great and price for this hotel is reasonable.
The rooms are a bit dated and the sink in the bathroom had a lot of soap scum underneath the rim of the sink. I probably wouldn't have noticed if I didn't have to give my baby a bath in the sink.
