Hotel Guest Reviews of the Rodeway Inn Lawrence

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The internal thermostat on my heater was broken, so it only blasted one really hot temperature. But a flood of air leaked in around the door to the patio. So if I left the heater on, I suffocated. If I turned it off, I woke up at 4am freezing.

This place is a little bit of a dump, but okay in a pinch. Don't depend on the "business center", a decade-old computer in a corner with difficult to access USB ports and a preposterously slow processor. But the friendly staff can print things off for you at the counter. It's close enough to anywhere you need to go.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
The hotel was poorly labeled and somewhat difficult to locate from the main roads. There is no sign with their name at all.

Hard to find floors dirty, dingy room.

Reserved it as Howard Johnsons but name was changed and sign was down due to sale and couldn't find. Place just looked dirty but all we could find that weekend in Lawrence. Wife wouldn't walk in room without something on feet due to filth. Didn't notice until morning stains on bed covers, GROSS. Think next time I'll make the drive back to KC or Topeka.

Nothing it was dirty, one of the beds had dirty sheets.
I
didn't like anything about this place.

Hotel needs a total remodel, my room was never cleaned, carpets were dirty, there was a dirty rag in the shower, I will never stay there again, and will recommend against it.

It was filthy.

Staff was friendly, the motel seems to be in the process of renovation, which is really really needed.

At least the Internet and HBO worked.
Jackhammering in the hallway outside my room at 7:20 in the morning!

I do not recommend this hotel. It is a total waist of money (but, in their defense, it is my fault for being cheap and trying to save a few bucks on a hotel room). Next door and a block or two away are much nicer hotels which don't cost that much more.

I wasn't murdered.
Former econolodge. Very poor condition, holes in room walls. Insecure.

Former econolodge. Very poor condition, holes in room walls. Insecure, outside locking doors propped open by staff. No free coffee ($2.00). Generally a really dirty looking motel.
