Hotel Guest Reviews of the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Windsor
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 11, 2013

Was not impressed and will not be back. Worth spending a few extra dollars somewhere else.

Filthy, seedy, not a TWO star, a minus two star. Charged extra for regularly inlcluded things (two beds instead of one, extra towel, etc). I knew it was not going to be The Ritz, but I have stayed in nicer two stars before. I just needed a place to stay while my house was getting renovated, but this was so disturbing. PL should not even include it in it's offerings. Bad publicity. ...

This hotel was cheap and met our needs for what we needed (basically a place to sleep while picking up my mom from the airport in Windsor to bring her back to Toronto). It was VERY dated and somewhat dirty all over. Our room was grungy; the bathroom was very dated (harvest gold tub with chips in the enamel) and had gunge in the corners of the tiles. Gross. A long black hair was present as well...we are all blonde. The "breakfast" is a joke in that there were a few pieces of shrivelled fruit and you had a choice of cereals and make your own waffles, but nothing very healthy or special. The saving grace is that the hotel is located right next to Tim Hortons, so we could go and get coffee right when we woke up. The downfall is that the hotel is located right next to Tim Hortons and OUR ROOM faced the 24 hour drive-thru; we heard orders practically all night. Wish we had stayed at one of the hotels near the airport...may have been cleaner! ...

The hotel is located on strip that is conveniently located close to a lot of amenities so that was really good. Overall I think its a bit pricey but I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel had an "old world" ambiance that made our vacation in Canada more enjoyable. We did not feel as if we were in a standard US hotel.

I expect.
Except for the 3 basic things
I thought were missing, vending machines, HD TV, and my room needed better vacuming, its a fine place to stay for a few days, and
I loved the price,
I saved a good $ or so per night over going through the hotel directly.
