Hotel Guest Reviews of the Howard Johnson Plaza
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 18, 2013

Great location. So many places within walking distance: museums, public library, park/dog park, restaurants. We were there for a Lightening game. The drive to Channelside was quick....so much to do there including the aquarium. The room was tidy and comfortable. Bathroom was clean, good water pressure and plenty of hot water! Wi-fi was available. Although we didn't use, there is a fitness center, computers in the lobby, and pool (it was unseasonably chilly).Next time we are in Tampa and if it's on priceline, we'll be staying here again! ...

Hotel was older, but mostly clean and close to downtown and Ybor City without costing too much. It definitely met the two stars it was advertised at. The hotel apparently was contracting rooms out as overflow student housing for the local college so there were college kids coming and going at all hours. They were all polite and relatively quiet so it wasn't a problem.

The room was not clean. there was a giant hole in the wall where it looked like a body had been slammed into it. Cheapest and lumpiest pillows i have ever seen in a hotel. Also, the hotel had been turned into a local college's dorm. Never want to stay there again. Not worth the money even with the priceline discount.

It was fine for the price. Nothing spectacular, but everything worked and the rooms were clean.

Good location if you do not care about old furnishings and a room not real comfortable.
