Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt House Ft. Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Price, size of room, location, free breakfast
Person that checked us in had an attitude

The free breakfast was generous, our room was terrific but I think a serious up grade, and the location was good.

We needed a place that had a complimentary shuttle to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised that it also had a complimentary shuttle to the beach area and the mall area where some restaurants were located.
Breakfast was at 6am, unfortunately we had to get the shuttle to the airport at 6am, so we were not able to get anything to eat.

There was a complimentary shuttle to the airport but also a shuttle to the beach area and the Oakwood shopping plaza. We were surprised that they were suites that had an actual kitchen. They didn't have ice machines on the floor since the refrigerator has an ice maker but we didn't want to wait to make ice. The staff did get us some ice from an ice machine in the kitchen area. Rooms were very nice. ...read more

Great room, nice and clean.
A dog was barking next room. Bad place for the air vent over the desk.

Very nice place to stay if you don't hear some barking. I love dogs and cats very much, but I needed a good night sleep.

The staff seemed disinterested in helping the guests. When asked where a store was nearby, the desk manager ( a young man) replied "Google it."Also, before I checked in they charged both rooms to my credit card.
Before I checked in the staff charged both rooms to my credit card and my friend wanted to charge theirs to their own card which they did but then the hotel staff could not tell me when the double charge (hold) would be removed from my card.

The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are too small for all the furniture they have. The decor is plain and the rooms are just average and in my opinion overpriced. The TV in our room did not work when we arrived. And the maintenance person had to come and flip some breakers in a box. I'm not sure why a guest in a hotel might be expected to flip breakers in the room. Windows to the pool were filthy. Buffet breakfast was basic such as reconstituted eggs, oatmeal, bagels and juice. ...read more

My daughter and I wanted 2 single beds but were given a room with a double bed because we booked through Priceline rather than directly. There was no place on the booking page to request separate beds.

Very snippy front desk people. Would not stay again

The free breakfast and hot appitizers/happy hour in the evening were both excellent and well worth the price of the room. The overall feeling was very friendly. The kitchens in the suites were well appointed and had supurb appliances.
The suite was a bit cramped and filled with furniture. Good for just 2 people, but with a baby, there was no room for the crib. Probably would have been ok with a 1 bedroom suite rather than all in one. Also, housekeeping was a bit lax.

Excellent. Will stay in brand again.

Yes, very...just what I'd expect from a Hyatt property.
Not really...just the scrambled eggs on the breakfast buffet each morning...the eggs tended to be cold...they need to use better techniques for keeping eggs warm without them getting tough.

Great location and proximity to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport...not too far from the cruise ports...just a block from I95...secure parking in the rear of the property...the option of eating out, or cooking for yourself (suite rooms)...not much to not like.

The hotel is located conveniently across from shopping to get any last minute essentials. The rooms are nice and spacious - decorated nicely.
The shuttle runs until midnight. We called after we got our bags at 11:55 pm. Phone rang and rang. Called back at midnight and was told shuttle was no longer operating. Also the breakfast food was cold and there was not enough seating.

Not exactly a cheap hotel. Expected breakfast to be a little better and more courteous staff (the midnight shift). It is conveniently located and we used it as a place to stay pre-cruise so in that regard it served its purpose.

I didn't like only 1 thing. That was I had to ask to make sure my room was cleaned. I don't think I should have needed to ask unless I had the do not disturb on the door and that wasn't the case.
