Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale 17Th St Convention Center

We stayed at this hotel for one night because they offered a transfer to the cruise port the next day. We were instructed to use a phone at the airport to arrange for a free pickup. No one answered a call from that phone after multiple tries, finally got someone on my cell phone. Took 20+ minutes for someone to arrive. Also, there was an advertisement on the hotel display at the airport phone saying they offered free shuttle service to the cruise port, we were charged $7 each. The room we were given was very large, although there were a couple of negatives. The bathroom door wouldn't shut unless you slammed it, and the bathroom was very dark. Even though we had booked our room a couple of months in advance - we had a late arriving flight and received a first floor room directly beside the swimming pool and across from the ice machine. It was really, really noisy. Had we not been given that room, and not had to wait so long to get picked up from the airport - it would have been a much more pleasant experience overall. There is an Outback Steakhouse in the next parking lot over - it was really busy even after 9PM. The couple of times we interacted with the staff, we had no problems. They were friendly and helpful. Great location if you are going on a cruise out of port everglades, we had a free shuttle to and from the airport, but the shuttle from the hotel to the port was $7 per person each way we got a cab back to the hotel it was cheaper then the shuttle. liked the free breakfast every morning and a big shopping plaza is a 3-5 min walk from the hotel if you want to grab dinner or anything you forgot to bring with you. If you are in a hurry to check in or check out they have a computer in the lobby next to the ATM that lets you check in or out. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. As a business traveler, it worked out great for me. It seem to be equidistant between airport, the beach, and downtown. But I am sure it would work for pleasure. The rooms are big and I liked the breakfast and quick eats they have in the lobby. I plan to stay there again. Great for the price.

This hotel has a great location if you are going on a cruise, it is very close to the ports. It is also walking distance to many good eateries.

I don´t know if all Hyatt places are like this, but I will look for one on my next trip!

Easy access to shopping center next door. Take Sun Trolley to beach~ only 50 cents

Don't expect much from the breakfast, but the location was good and staff was friendly.

Was very convenient to cruise port and shopping. Would stay here again!
