Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Chicago

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Hotel location and staff friendliness were awesome!
Windows cannot be opened at all and I think Wifi should be free for a hotel at this level.

Hotel's Chicago downtown location was perfect; not far from subway/EL, right by shopping and the lake. Staff was more than friendly and helpful. Windows cannot be opened; maybe due to hight or noise level, but left room stuffy and only air comes from fan/AC.

Location was great, ambiance was fantastic, and the housekeeping was the best I ever experienced. I had left money on my bed and they did not take it!
The hallways and rooms were a little dark.

Breakfast was supposed to be included with our package, but we kept seeing charges for tax 20 cents, tip 50 cents, etc. It didn't make sense. So when I contacted front desk they told me that I exceded the dollar amount for breakfast. That was never disclosed to me. The lighting in the rooms and hallways can be improved but other than that everything was great.

We were traveling with our twin four year old boys and requested a room with a view. The manager was happy to accommodate our request and the boys loved staying on the 33 floor with a view of the boats below!
The parking was a bit expensive, $52 a day, which would have been nice to know prior to booking.

The staff was extremely helpful and it was ideally located for visiting Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Shedd Aquarium!

Sensitive Weight Bar, nobody tell you and you end up paying 200$ bill at the end if you move the stuff inside to put you own beverage.

Great location. Easy to walk in the Loop and come back to the hotel for a quick nape. No pool. No place to enjoy the outisde.

The location was wonderful, and the amenities were plentiful, though costly.

the staff is astounding - amazing customer service! It was the perfect place for a weekend with my sisters :-)
can't think of a thing I'd improve

The room was great - quiet, great view of the city. Can't say enough about the staff - they are top shelf all the way. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the 'strip' - easy walk to pretty much everything. Spent time hanging out on the fringes of the 2nd floor bar - great place to people-watch, enjoy the music, and relax.

The location was fantastic. The new part of the hotel was impressive but seemed to be going through some renovation as the check-in area was a bit difficult to find.
The room was very dark. You couldn't really use the natural lightening as there was an office building directly across the way and the lamps provided didn't really make things brighter. This made the room a little depressing.

I'm not sure the part of the hotel we were in would qualify as a 4 star experience. We were housed in the older part of the property across the street from the new building. It was in need of some updating in that section. The location was great however.

The service was incredible, and the hotel did extra "little things" that really add up, like providing a whole list of free items you can order - from toothpaste to a brush to baby products.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. I will always consider booking with Hyatt from now on.
