Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Chicago

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Room was very nicely decorated and clean. Great location with view of the river and some of the lake. Staff was friendly.
Parking was not included with booking of the room. Rate was
XXX per night, which is very expensive for a guest when you can park near there for cheaper.

The security was good. The elevators were locked at 10:30 pm and you needed a key gain access even between floors.
That it was on the river, not the Loop. Also all bus stops are at least 1.5 blocks away. This is not a big deal, but being advertised as a Loop hotel I expected better. The morning we checked out the maids knocked at 9:30 am to see if we had left

There was not a pool at the hotel and everything was very expensive, double to triple what I would pay at Starbucks. The steak house was double a steak house that was down the street.

Pleasant friendly staff, great room
no

food inside the hotel is expensive. A short walk can yield a less expensive breakfast.

$22 breakfast and $14 to use the Internet is rediculous

Great location, friendly, helpful staff, but for
XXX you should get free Internet ad breakfast.

The staff was fantastic, the room was of great quality (especially for the deal we got) and the hotel in general went above and beyond to accommodate the guests. I was very impressed.

I liked that the hotel kept our luggage after we checked out so we could spend the rest of the day in the city without having to carry it with us. It was within walking distance from Millennium Train Station, Navy Pier, shopping, museums, and much more.

Hotel location and staff friendliness were awesome!
Windows cannot be opened at all and I think Wifi should be free for a hotel at this level.

Hotel's Chicago downtown location was perfect; not far from subway/EL, right by shopping and the lake. Staff was more than friendly and helpful. Windows cannot be opened; maybe due to hight or noise level, but left room stuffy and only air comes from fan/AC.
