Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort And Spa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The amenities were fantastic and the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect.
The shampoo was organic and hypoallergenic, but did not lather very well and was not enough for a family of four. But that is looking for something to complain about.

As a quick weekend get away from Houston, our family of four had a memorable time. There is plenty to do within minutes of the resort, but we were easily able to entertain ourselves for the entire weekend. The activity pool and lazy river were beautiful and just the right temperature. Plus we took advantage of the driving range, tennis courts, game room, and horseshoes. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her time at the spa. We are looking for another time to return for another great weekend. ...read more

I have no idea. I couldn't make the trip and mistakenly thought the trip insurance didn't require a doctor's note or natural disaster to implement. Child got the flu (doctor wanted it to play out), so had to miss. Most likely my last PriceLine trip.
No idea. Again, couldn't make it.

the room had a strong bleach odor. the valet parking is closer to the hotel than the open parking. I could not find any open parking and was forced to valet.

The staff was great and the environment for families was excellent
The housekeeping could have been better - the service in all other aspects of the hotel was great.

This is an excellent choice for families with young children.

I was extremely impressed with all of the activities for kids. In addition to the lazy river &other advertised features, the resort had kid's activities such as face painting scheduled throughout the day. Im not sure if this is ongoing but def a perk
Construction on the new ballroom was loud and unattractive (in front only),& complicated parking, but I cannot fault the hotel too much for this. The construction is clearly advertised on the hotel website, so guests should know what they are in for.

The hotel is beautiful- the grounds, indoor common areas, and rooms are all tastefully done to suit the culture of the Hill Country. My family and I loved all of the activities for the kids- it was great to not have to leave the resort for a few days in order to keep them entertained. The kids loved the lazy river and pool area. Unfortunately, the new water features (slide and wave pool, I believe) are not yet open. We loved roasting smores by the water in the evening and taking a peaceful stroll. The week of our stay, there were plenty of children for our little ones to play with... I ran on the tredmill every night after the kids went to bed- very nice and spacious facilities. Our room was very nice. I appreciated being put on a floor near other families, as opposed to a late night crowd or child-less adults who might not be sympathetic to the needs and quirks of little ones. The restaurant downstairs was not great for dinner. The menu was very limited, so if we stay again we will have to try the restaurant for which the resort is known- Antlers. Note: I docked the hotel a couple of points for friendly staff. I should clarify, the day staff was very friendly and helpful. My one encounter with staff at the front desk during the night/early morning, however, was less than stellar. I went to the lobby area (the business center was closed due to construction) to print off our seaworld passes and left feeling like a nuisance for asking where the computers were and if there was a trick to getting one to boot up. ...read more

Very nice staff
I know this may be petty but for the cost of the stay which included a "resort" I would've expected to get the popcorn and possibly the ice cream for free.

Keep in mind the additional resort fees when staying here.
