Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency New Orleans
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 15, 2013

This is a very nice, if sterile, hotel. It is built for hosting conferences and business travelers - not vacationers to this area. I got bottom-rate Priceline service when checking in. I was told no king rooms were available and was giving a single-queen room that was so small there was only room for the bed and a night stand. No dressers or drawers for clothes - nothing! It is a long walk (with escalators) from the front door to the hotel rooms. The location has got to be the worst available in the downtown zone. Taxis were never readily available and the local street car comes by only once every 30 minutes. I don't even know why this hotel exists in a place like New Orleans. It's far far far from the quarter, a dangerous walk if you choose to do so, and there is no fun atmosphere. The place was deserted on what was an unusually busy weekend in the quarter, and from my experience I now understand why. Not only would I never pay their regular rate, I will never again bid in the downtown zone for New Orleans, ever again from fear of being stuck in this monstrosity in the middle of nowhere! ...

This hotel is kind of all about the facade. All the common areas are impeccably maintained, but the staff doesn't care to help or answer phones. Room service does not really clean the rooms. All the little things about a good hotel that make you feel taken care of are lacking here. But it is gorgeous.

Great location in front of the Mercedes/Benz Arena...Convenient business area, including "low key" restaurants both on premises and off. Close enough to the French Quarters that you can walk. Public transportation by trolley and bus for people who do not like to walk, as well as plentiful taxi's. lots of public parking that should be heeded to as they will readily "BOOT YOUR VEHICLE". ...
