Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency New Orleans

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The view
I was very unhappy with the fact that I paid for a room with 2 queen size beds and after having to argue they gave me two doubles. If I wanted double size beds I would of booked that and paid way less. I did not get what I paid for and was very unsatisfie

Beautiful lobby and bar.
The staff was nonresponsive to problems.

This hotel is kind of all about the facade. All the common areas are impeccably maintained, but the staff doesn't care to help or answer phones. Room service does not really clean the rooms. All the little things about a good hotel that make you feel taken care of are lacking here. But it is gorgeous.

Great location in front of the Mercedes/Benz Arena...Convenient business area, including "low key" restaurants both on premises and off. Close enough to the French Quarters that you can walk. Public transportation by trolley and bus for people who do not like to walk, as well as plentiful taxi's. lots of public parking that should be heeded to as they will readily "BOOT YOUR VEHICLE". ...read more

Nice rooms, fantastic staff, great restaurants on site, close to everything!
A/C was not very cold and they did not have coffee pots in the room.

Great place to stay!

The room was very clean
Housekeeping kept knocking on our door every hour even though we had told them we didn't need the room to be cleaned. Also a guest that stayed in there the night before kept banging on our door trying to find his keys

The lobby and public spaces were great! The room and bathroom were pristine. Only negative no coffee maker in room, but there was a Starbucks in the retail area of the hotel.
No coffee maker in room.

The staff were great. The pool is heated, but still a bit cool relating to the exterior temperature as it is an exterior pool.
Going between the lobby and the room required taking either two separate elevators or escalators and then an elevator. The parking is not associated with the hotel and was $27 per day, $9 for the first hour for the lot adjacent to the hotel

We stayed recently to attend Jazzfest and enjoyed the stay at the hotel and attending the festival. The pool was a bit on the cool side, so I was interested in swimming but others were not. There were not a lot of restaurants nearby, but we did like one nearby on Poydras St. It was a good trip overall and my expectations were met.

Good location though a long walk from typical tourist sites Very easy access from and to highway 10 if you are driving from airport
very active night life which is probably fun if you are participating but the open atrium design means you can hear the jazz band as you try to go to sleep.

One of the nicer hotels with more amenities than any human being needs. Pricier than many but so are all New Orleans hotels.
