Stay was great for the price we paid. The hotel sits on the Riverwalk with easy access to everything. We had a great view of the Alamo from our room. The only downside was the room was close to the elevator and on a busy weekend, (we were in town when Fiesta was going on), other guests were quite noisy at night.

The location is very convenient to a first-time San Antonio tourist trying to vacation without a car, being fairly well centered in the shops and restaurants area of the Riverwalk. Food service at the hotel bar during Happy Hour is sketchy: the food takes a long time to arrive, and 50% of the time I was charged full price until pointing it out and waiting for them to re-run the ticket with Happy Hour prices. ...

We stayed at this hotel during Fiesta, a super busy time here in San Antonio. The staff was super friendly and helpful from check in (including parking) to checkout. Our room was spacious and immaculate. The pool was fine but not heated, so it was chilly. The view of the city from the pool was awesome. All in all we had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency for a great price!

This hotel is overrated. It is not a 4 star. There is is large gap at the bottom of the door and you can see light around the door. Any noise from the hallway is heard clearly. Very difficult to sleep. The restaurant food is OK but very overpriced.

Bed was very uncomfortable. We had 3 nights of virtually no sleep. A/C would allow you to change temp, but made no difference in room temp. It would get very comfortable for about an hour, then you would be sweating. The grout lines in the show tiles were molded and dirty. Very disheartening for the expected "Hyatt" level of service.

This location is excellent for the River walk and all downtown activities, eg Alamo, etc. The waiters both mornings for breakfast were EXCELLENT. food was good, service was excellent. This hotel was perfect for our first visit to San Antonio.

It was efficient, clean, comfortable and had good staff. We really appreciated the quiet hours from 9 PM to 9 AM.
