Hotel Guest Reviews of the Ilikai Hotel And Suites
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.September 11, 2011

I was looking for a last minute hotel to stay an extra day in Hawaii and I found this one on priceline. The hotel was comfortable, beautiful, very close to the beach and shopping, and perfect for a couple. We were worried because there was lots of audible road work on the street level, but when we got up to our room on the 23rd floor it was quiet. Bed was comfortable, nice strong shower, and a fridge. No bathtub, but the pool and beach are so close by, there are lots of opportunities to get in the water. You can literally walk out of the hotel to a secluded lagoon and beach, then keep walking and you are on Waikiki beach. A short walk from the major shopping and sights of Waikiki. The stay was so nice, in fact, we were disappointed we had only found it on our last night, we would have loved to take more advantage of the amenities and location! ...

I was under the impression from websites and trip adviser that they serve free breakfast. They don't anymore, however, they have a breakfast for $10.00 served down off the lobby. It is okay. There was no info in the room regarding pool hours, restaurant hours and just general amenities.

The Ilikai is a Waikiki icon with large rooms and beautiful views in every direction. Unfortunately, it is operating under the specter of bankruptcy and some of its amenities, such as the casual lobby-level restaurant and lobby gift shops and stores have closed. I'm hoping a white knight will swoop in and save this property because despite the financial mismanagement of the current owner, the hotel itself is well-managed, pleasant, and ideal for the vacationer. ...

We enjoyed our stay at the Iliikai and were sorry to hear of its likely closing in early February. We would like to return to this hotel when next in Honolulu.

The Ilikai is in an excellent location and has large, clean comfortable rooms with great views. A complementary continental breakfast is included but there is no on-site restaurant that serves lunch. The restaurant on the 30th floor, Sarento's, is open for dinner only and is very, very good, albeit a bit pricey. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Ala Moana shopping center. ...

The hotel is an older hotel but recently renovated. Some guests live there, others rent by the day. Small pool and no hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel location is on the extreme end of the Waikiki strip, which means you've got a pretty good walk to get to the beach.

I would recommend it. Loved swimming in the lagoon there. When the construction is finished it will be perfect. The staff was very helpful with luggage and directions for transportation, etc.
