Quiet and restful with old-world charm with local residents in bar. Beds and food to die for.
Antiquated heating system - might be a no-no in the winter

For those travellers who want a restful base to tour the Gold Rush Country - especially oldsters who don't need TV, Broadband, swimming pool, etc - this is it !! Has our two main requirements - great beds and refined, but uncomplicated cuisine

Room had lot of cobwebs on walls, light fixtures and
ceiling.

Very romantic setting! Incredible atmosphere and
very accommodating staff.
Nothing!

This hotel is located in the heart of Gold Country in CA. It is an historic, renovated building with tons of charm and character. The manager,
was so incredibly accommodating and friendly! It reminded me so much of an English bed and breakfast. Absolutely wonderful stay!
