Hotel Guest Reviews of the Inn At The Park

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

WOW ROOM! Perfect for families. My daughter and I were staying for 9 days so the full kitchen was perfect.
No pool or work out room

Great space. Newly renovated. Eclectic style. Friendly staff. Fast room service.
There was a lot of air traffic noise. It did stop around 11 pm. Sounded like there was room renovation going on in the room next to mine. I overheard someone else complain about the noise also.

This is not a hotel I would visit with children. It is a rejuvinated older building with lovely furnishings. It is located across from Balboa Park, but you don't have a balcony to really enjoy the view. It is close to Karen Krasne's Extrodinary Desserts (and they are). Near downtown as well.

Room was beautiful, complete kitchen attached. Given previous reviews talking about construction problems I had been worried, but really there was no problem with the little bit of construction that was going on and the staff was delightful. Comfortable
No problems

Lovely location in the midst of some gourmet bistros, across from a part of Balboa park and very near the zoo. They don't require valet service but they have it available and I highly recommend using it - finding parking is challenging and the valets are wonderful. The room was beautifully done in art deco and a pleasure to come back to in the evening. Very convenient too to have a full kitchen attached. The breakfast provided was basic but definitely sufficient, and they have a menu of very reasonably priced breakfast entrees that you can order if you want a little more in the way of hot food. You are well taken care of by attentive waiters. I did buy the healthy vegetarian eggs benedict one morning and it was delightful, just what I wanted that particular morning. Otherwise I was happy with the continental breakfast provided. ...read more

Great location and price. Off street parking so didn't have to use valet.
Very noisy all night long.

Kind of funky, converted hotel, with kitchens in room. Close to airport.

The room was beautiful. And the location is excellent - walking distance to Balboa Park, Hillcrest.
The wireless internet reception is not great and I was even warned about this by the employees. I got it to work one night out of three I was in my room on the 5th floor. Also, I didn't realize that parking is essentially valet only - 15/night which isn't

The Inn at the Park was a great place to stay for 3 nights. I loved the location- within a mile of lots of great restaurants and bars in Hillcrest and I could see Balboa park from my window! I had a beautiful room and for a very reasonable price. The room was large, modern, with a beautiful bathroom and a small kitchen. The building is older, but my room was very nicely remodeled. The only "negatives" might be the poor Wifi signal in the rooms and the Valet parking only system. Minor things that didn't detract from my overall experience which was quite pleasurable. I would definitely stay here again. ...read more

This is by far the cutest hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms are amazing, chic, unique and so gorgeous. The room I had was a suite with a living area, kitchen, bathroom, and walkin closet. There is also awesome retro art all over the place!
Parking costs $15 a night , but there is often free on-street parking which I was able to find. The omelette I had was very bland.

The location is pretty central to the "sights" and equidistant to a lot of them. It's a 2 mile walk to downtown but I assume many would want to drive. It's right next to Balboa Park and walking distance to the zoo (maybe a mile?) They offer a fabulous concierge service who will provide a map and answer any questions. I was thoroughly thrilled with my stay.

The Service is great and the dining experience was awesome! This was a great bargain. I have stayed at the big hotels in downtown San Diego and never felt as cared about. The staff is wonderful and the renovation is fun and really retro.

This was a great experience! Nostalgic and a step away from the rat race of the big hotels. If you are planning a trip to Balboa Park; the Zoo or the Museums this is a gem. This is also child friendly staff...we are grandparents and it was a joy to watch the youngsters there with their parents.

great location and historic character
no

Across the street from Balboa Park, close to neighborhood restaurants, friendly neighborhood. I like that the hotel is being restored instead of gutted and remodeled. The historic integrity has been retained, but the building is updated to meet standards of today's clients. Very nice!
