Hotel Guest Reviews of the Inn At The Park

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, caring. Room was immaculate, lovely and large. Kitchen & bath were full size, new, attractive. Excellent sunny rooftop continental breakfast w/wait staff friendly/helpful. For $2 I added 2 poached eggs to the included breakfast. Perfect location. Park on street. Great Mexican restaurant on the corner. Hotel is on Balboa Park which caters to all sorts of interests, most of which are free. El Prado restaurant in the park served excellent outdoor lunch in stunning setting. The zoo is a short drive from the hotel, as is downtown San Diego. ...read more

Great space. Newly renovated. Eclectic style. Friendly staff. Fast room service.
There was a lot of air traffic noise. It did stop around 11 pm. Sounded like there was room renovation going on in the room next to mine. I overheard someone else complain about the noise also.

This is not a hotel I would visit with children. It is a rejuvinated older building with lovely furnishings. It is located across from Balboa Park, but you don't have a balcony to really enjoy the view. It is close to Karen Krasne's Extrodinary Desserts (and they are). Near downtown as well.

The Service is great and the dining experience was awesome! This was a great bargain. I have stayed at the big hotels in downtown San Diego and never felt as cared about. The staff is wonderful and the renovation is fun and really retro.

This was a great experience! Nostalgic and a step away from the rat race of the big hotels. If you are planning a trip to Balboa Park; the Zoo or the Museums this is a gem. This is also child friendly staff...we are grandparents and it was a joy to watch the youngsters there with their parents.

great location and historic character
no

Across the street from Balboa Park, close to neighborhood restaurants, friendly neighborhood. I like that the hotel is being restored instead of gutted and remodeled. The historic integrity has been retained, but the building is updated to meet standards of today's clients. Very nice!

Even though the hotel is located in an older building the room looked brand new. They did a marvelous job in creating a classic ambiance.

What a pleasant surprise. The room had been recently been updated but had a 1920 feel to it, with all the modern new touches. My wife and I couldn't keep talking about the room. The style, color, couch, bed, little kitchen, bathroom. It was really amazing. Plus being located right across the street from Balboa Park was a plus too.

Good service and friendly staff.
Construction in progress.

From the front door to the room, there was total welcome. If you're coming to San Diego don't miss this.

The retro feel of the hotel and that you could park without paying for parking and continental breakfast included.
Construction is never great but needed.

This hotel is a great retro/old Hollywood feel hotel. It is a different style than I am used to. I enjoyed the experience. The continental breakfast was good and the location was amazing. We would stay here again.
