Hotel Guest Reviews of the Intercontinental New Orleans

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location of the hotel was great. Within walking distance to french quarter, bourbon st. and the french market. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way. Mother's restaurant is only two blocks away. A must to visit in New Orleans!

Look, it's pretty nice, and it's not super super expensive, at least through Priceline.
Deceptive pet policy. When I booked on priceline before they reveal the name of the hotel, the only details given were "pets allowed". To my surprise after revealing the hotel, I found that the pet fee is $150. One HUNDRED and FIFTY dollars. $30 more than

Look, it's pretty nice, and it's not super super expensive, at least through Priceline. But getting this through Priceline will get you a deceptive pet policy. When I booked on priceline before they reveal the name of the hotel, the only details given were "pets allowed". To my surprise after revealing the hotel, I found that the pet fee is $150. One HUNDRED and FIFTY dollars. $30 more than our room cost - I could have got a seperate room just for the bloody dog for that much. I was furious but these rooms are not refundable and we just had to cough it up. Also only valet parking at $32 bucks a pop and you're only adding insult to injury.Lesson learned, I'm never booking anything through priceline again when I'm not at my most flexible (with my wife only). ...read more

Great rooms and great location. The front desk staff were a bit rude and indifferent at times. Maybe because they noticed that I am paying a really cheap rate. The concierge was poorly staffed
Hotels should really not be charging for basic amenities like microwaves!?!I had to pay 20 dollars just so that I could get a microwave in the room to heat up my infant's milk and food. Granted its not a lot of money, but its the principle that

DONT PARK WITH THE HOTEL! They charge an arm and a leg ($36/day)Right next to the hotel there is Premium Parking that has in/out privileges and costs $25/day. Furthermore, about 1.5 blocks away (on 816 Union Street) there is another Premium Parking place that charges $20/day and also has in/out privileges. This second place charges $15/day for weekend. We used the second parking space on Union Street and it saved us $70 over 4 days. ...read more

It was in a convenient location but not too close to the party spots.
The parking fees are way too high!

Everything! From the wonderful staff to the location and the room, I would definitely stay here again!

Walking distance to everything in New Orleans! We walked to breakfast (Red Gravvy and Ruby Slipper) and to the Louisiana Children's Museum. We also walked to Canal street and rode the trolley up and down the river. Wonderful place to stay!

Very nice hotel in the downtown. Very comfortable and elegant.
