Hotel Guest Reviews of the J W Marriott New Orleans

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Absolutely no complaints about our one-night stay! Great view from the 28th floor! Lovely hotel! Priceline always comes through for me!!!
Loved it all!

Great location. Walking distance to the Quarter and also to Mahalia Jackson theater!

Room on the 17th floor was great, very comfortable beds. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the location on the edge of the French Quarter was perfect.

Lots of good restaurants nearby, and no need for a car as the trolley is right in front of the hotel. Couldn't be happier with our stay.

The location was central and great. It was easy to get around to the parts of the city that we wanted to visit. The public areas of the hotel were very clean and inviting.
Wish there was free wi-fi, for being a four star hotel.

The location was great as we were down in New Orleans for pre-Super Bowl events and to explore the city. Due to the hotel's central location, we were easily able to walk towards the waterfront, Jackson Square and the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street's jazz clubs, the casinos and Convention Center, and the Superdome. And it didn't hurt to get a great deal by naming our own bid. ...read more

ALFRED (Bellman) was AMAZINGLY helpful and wonderful!! KUDOS TO HIM!
Please let guests know they need to park/unload at the side entrance, NOT the Canal Street entrance.

Perfect. Wonderful. Amazing deal. Thank you Priceline.

The location on Canal St. was one block down from Bourbon. EZ walk to the action there, and great public transportation connections to anywhere in the city.
Our floor's ice machine was out of order.

Location, location, location...within a short walk of excellent restaurants, Bourbon Street, and at an intersection of public transportation that will get you anywhere efficiently. The staff allowed us to check in early, and arranged a late check-out. All with the J.W. Marriott ambiance and level of service. I have a new favorite hotel in NOLA.

Absolute best location. Across the street from French quarter. Walk to everything.
No fridge or microwave. There were no holiday decorations up like all the other hotels. The lobby is very boring.

I stay at Marriott's guite often. I am very happy that they are all quite the same. I know that it will be quiet, clean and very comfortable. This hotel was in a great location for New Orleans. You can walk to anything you need or want to see. I would stay here again.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to assist me. The cleanliness of the hotel was very impressible.
Didn't not have after hours dining options available.

I love, love love this hotel. Beautiful and staff was excellent!

The staff was very accommodating.
The overnight parking is $39.00. This should be mentioned prior to booking. The ceiling near the vent was discolored with mildew and dirt. The hinges and backstop on the bathroom door was full of rust. The veneer on the bottom of bathroom door was rotten

The overnight parking is $39.00. This should be mentioned prior to booking. The ceiling near the air vent was discolored with mildew and dirt. The hinges and backstop on the bathroom door was full of rust. The veneer on the bottom of bathroom door was rotten and splitting. The public spaces of the hotel was very bare and vacant with no interactive areas. The Canal address was not the hotel entrance. This was confusing when checking-in. ...read more
