Hotel Guest Reviews of the J W Marriott New Orleans
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 4, 2013

Great location. Walking distance to the Quarter and also to Mahalia Jackson theater!

Lots of good restaurants nearby, and no need for a car as the trolley is right in front of the hotel. Couldn't be happier with our stay.

The location was great as we were down in New Orleans for pre-Super Bowl events and to explore the city. Due to the hotel's central location, we were easily able to walk towards the waterfront, Jackson Square and the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street's jazz clubs, the casinos and Convention Center, and the Superdome. And it didn't hurt to get a great deal by naming our own bid. ...

Location, location, location...within a short walk of excellent restaurants, Bourbon Street, and at an intersection of public transportation that will get you anywhere efficiently. The staff allowed us to check in early, and arranged a late check-out. All with the J.W. Marriott ambiance and level of service. I have a new favorite hotel in NOLA.

I stay at Marriott's guite often. I am very happy that they are all quite the same. I know that it will be quiet, clean and very comfortable. This hotel was in a great location for New Orleans. You can walk to anything you need or want to see. I would stay here again.

The overnight parking is $39.00. This should be mentioned prior to booking. The ceiling near the air vent was discolored with mildew and dirt. The hinges and backstop on the bathroom door was full of rust. The veneer on the bottom of bathroom door was rotten and splitting. The public spaces of the hotel was very bare and vacant with no interactive areas. The Canal address was not the hotel entrance. This was confusing when checking-in. ...
