Hotel Guest Reviews of the Kellogg Conference Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Quiet. Gallaudet University campus is pleasant. China mugs and plates for breakfast and fresh sliced fruit. Sincere hospitality manager who apologized next morning for extensive problems at check-in. New clerk who was gracious during check-in ordeal.
Check-in problems. New clerk could't find my Priceline reservation in the system. Fortunately, I had a printout. Waited 35 minutes to get a room. First room had thin, subpar blanket over sheets (no quilts anywhere) and 2 messy pillows per double bed.

The staff at this hotel are very pleasant and in the end treat guests nicely. However, if booking through an on-line service unrelated to hotel, bring your confirmation printout! Checking in with my Priceline.com reservation was very trying and took 35 minutes before I got to my first room (which was not ready and I had to ask for a different one). The people in line after me had reserved through a different independent service and also had to wait a very long time to be checked in. The hotel is not near any restaurants except for the adjacent Union Market (very good but open only certain days and hours). Do your own restaurant research as hotel is not well-versed on options. Overall, the facility is new, attractive and well-maintained. The problems seem to lie in communication problems with outside reservation services and inside the hotel regarding which rooms are ready. My second room looked clean and absolutely fine except for one large strand of hair in the bathroom sink that somewhat spoiled the overall effect. Management may need to put more effort into staff training. ...read more

Location in the university was good, but the area was not good at all. Liked the shuttle service and personnel attitude.
Mostly the location. I did not realize that it was a hotel inside university and for conferences at the time I booked the room. The information was not available on price line website.

The room was spacious and the location was perfect for what we needed.
Outside the boundaries of the Gallaudet University campus, on which the hotel is located, the neighbourhood is not desirable.

Good value relative to other hotels in the area.

It was great for bringing a large group to DC. The rooms were a great size.
The water pressure was abysmal. It literally trickled out if you had it on hot water.

The free shuttle to the amtrak station
The daytime front desk staff was not friendly, she had a bad attitude 4 of the 4 days i was there. I booked a room with a refridgerator and never recieved it, even after asking.

Located on a beautiful campus rich in history.

Friendly staff! They really will go the extra mile; These guys make you feel welcomed. I was having a little trouble checking in because i had lost the card i used to book in and had a temparay one, but they took the issue off my hands, made it thiers and
The location was a little weird, it's in a university. Also the neighborhood is a little run down but it didn't seem dangerous... But again they can't help that.

Bring comfortable shoes, walking is a thing of D.C. This place has a great staff, the location is a little funky, but the metro is a few blocks away. Overall a good stay.

Bed was comfortable, air con was great & The house keeping staff was helpful and accommodating to my schedule.
The elevator was very hot, carpets need cleaned and breakfast was being packed away at 9:25.

Comfortable, cool, safe hotel, but be prepared to pay $18 a day for parking. Meals are delicious if you can catch them when they are open.
