Hotel Guest Reviews of the King George Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Convenient and clean.
Neighborhood very noisy.

Comfortable and affordable, considering it's located in downtown San Francisco. Good for 1-2 nights. Room was too small to really get comfortable, and the neighborhood tended to be noisy. Overall, a good value for the money. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is close to restaurants, public transport, one block from Union Square.

This hotel was very close to a lot of Downtown attractions.
The room is very small, the radiators are very loud, and the walls are very thin!

My stay at this hotel ruined my trip. My wife and I had a short city getaway planned and whether it was the outrageous $ to park my car, the paper thin walls, the drunks outside that kept me up all night, the crazy small rooms, or the damn cleaning lady knocking on our door for house keeping at 07:30, oh well it is over and I will never stay there again. And when I told the front desk this, their response was well sir, you booked through a third party. Next time book through us on our website and you well get a better feel for the hotel that you will be staying at. For the same amount of $ (with the cost of parking) I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel with a pool, free parking, and a decent sized, quiet room.

Nice room - recently renovated in historic building. Great staff!
Spotty internet service - but the help desk for the internet service was great.

Hotel staff was friendly and professional.
Extremely small room.

I've stayed in some small hotel rooms before, but the King George wins. WOW, what a small room. Not a huge concern though as we are not ones to spend our time in hotels while out on small get aways. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly/professional. I would stay again if the price was right.

I've stayed in this hotel before and was excited to see the deal on Priceline.

I've stayed in this hotel before and was excited to see the deal on Priceline. Staff is friendly, the room is a bit crammed but decently sized for the city hotel. The shower room is white decor so it feels clean (and it is). The decor of the room is soothing. So far I stayed two times (both 3+ days) for leisure and business. I highly recommend for budget traveler with standard. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. ...read more

It was clean, looked upscale, staff was very friendly. I loved it.
Only bad thing I can say is the rooms are small & it had a wall cooler, but that is typical for SF.

This was a great hotel, there were nice places to eat right next door, and the area was clean for SF. For people thinking of choosing this hotel go in knowing the rooms are small and there is a lot of street noise, but this is typical of this area in SF. I would definitely stay here again, I traveled with my adult child, and we both felt safe and enjoyed the stay.

Staff was very prompt about everything!
No air conditioner made the room a little stuffy.

Staff would immediately park/retrieve your vehicle upon request. $35 for overnight parking was a little steep, although they allowed in and out privileges. Common areas were always tidy and in order.

The concierge recommended an excellent restaurant called the BIX. The bartender was entertaining and desk staff was excellent.
Nothing. This is a great boutique hotel in the center of a great city with wonderful staff.

Location and excellent hotel here. Hotel is small and rooms are also but very clean and accommodating. The staff is what makes this place very special. I loved the desk personnel, they got me taxis, looked up sight seeing options, let me borrow their umbrella for the day. The concierge asked me enough questions to get me to the best restaurant in town, the BIX. They helped me with airport shuttles and the bartender in their lounge was very entertaining and friendly. I felt safe, the place was clean, and the shower gave plenty of hot water. All in all a very good hotel in a great central location. I think I made out very well for the money I spent. I would highly recommend this hotel to business travelers, single gals, small families, and those looking for the best value for their dollars.
