Hotel Guest Reviews of the Kings Inn - San Diego
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 9, 2013

Great Location in close proximity to the beaches, Sea World, Zoo, Fashion Valley Mall, and Gaslamp districts. I loved the giant size and unique layout of the pool.

The air conditioner was broken and it was 81 degrees in my room. When I called the front desk at 3 am because it was too hot to sleep the clerk said they didn't have maintenance people overnight. I asked for a fan and she said they didn't have any. Really displeased with the lack of response. Considered sleeping with the door open or in my car.

Although you could call this motel "vintage" it was great! this place was easy to find on motel row. It was clean which can be trickery for an older motel and the prices were reasonable. Staff were exceptionally helpful for good places to eat. It was a nice surprise to find true value-convenience-quality!

This hotel is comfortable, and easily accessible to all areas. The staff is very helpful, and willing to meet your needs. The price of the rooms are comparable to the price that is paid for them; not the greatest, but the price wasn't the most expensive either. The manager comped my room for me without me asking, since it wasn't ready when I got there, even though I arrived several hours early. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, including providing all needs I asked for, and providing me with driving directions to places in the area that I needed to go to (stores, etc.). The only exception was one of the office staff who appeared to be "fishing for business" as though she was to receive compensation for it. All other staff helped me without pushing me for anything. The food at the Waffle Spot restaurant was nothing to rave about, and service was lacking. The waitress didn't fill my order correctly, and was not willing to correct it. I found the entire experience there to be unsatisfying, so I didn't return. The Amigo Spot restaurant was delicious! I visited it every night I was there! I would recommend this hotel for anyone who doesn't mind a less that top notch hotel stay, but would like a positive environment. ...
