Hotel Guest Reviews of the Kona Kai Resort And Spa
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.June 11, 2013

The hotel was undergoing a reno when we were there so it is understandable that things did not flow as smoothly as expected, however negative and downright mean desk staff at night was inappropriate even under the worst of circumstnces. The wonderful day staff the next morning (a young woman and delightful young man who was very engaging and talkative) were what saved the stay for us! ...

Overall it was a great experience for the price. I do agree with other reviews in that the hotel is a little older. The walls allow a little more noise from the surrounding areas than I'd like. But, with the price paid, it can't be beat. The views and the harbor area were gorgeous. The restaurants around the hotel were really good. Definitely recommend checking this hotel out for your travel to San Diego. ...

Great stay at the Kona Kai. The rooms were a bit outdated and could use some additional sound proofing, but the hotel was quiet at night and we had no issues with noise while we were sleeping. The pool area was gorgeous and there were lots of free easy activities to do. The location was 15-20 minutes from everything you'd want and there were some restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. We'd stay again. ...
