Hotel Guest Reviews of the La Fonda On The Plaza

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location in the Plaza.
We were put in the "new" room which didn't have as much character and charm as previous rooms I have stayed in there. It was right next to the managers office and we heard everything they said at 7am. Not relaxing. Room service couldn't find us either.

I don't think it was worth the value but overall the location made the trip to Santa Fe worth it.

We lived everything about this hotel.

The hotel is staffed more than adequately so I never needed to "go look for someone" to ask a question, and whoever answered my question was pleasant and was happy to do so even if it may not have been in their particular area of responsibility. The hotel has a real authentic feel to its building and the food was excellent.

The room was huge and had a walk-in closet. The hotel is under construction so there was dust and noise but it was too bad.

The hotel location is perfect for walking around the town. The restaurants were very good too. The staff was very responsive to our requests for an extra bed and for room service.

Fantastic location! The hotel has a lot of history and charm and will be a great place to stay once the renovation is complete.

What a treat to stay at such a historic hotel with so many beautiful architectural details, right in the heart of Santa Fe. Parking was available in their garage with in and out privileges at a very reasonable cost. Free wifi service, too!
In their attempt to be sustainable and conserving the compact fluorescent lighting in the rooms is harsh. But that's minor. There is construction going on right now at the hotel, but only between 8 am to 4 pm. So be warned.

If you want to peer into the past of old Santa Fe and have an authentic experience of the blending of NM cultures, the La Fonda Hotel is your location. It is gracious, beautiful, and charming and has the unique quirks of a 100 year old hotel. I found the hotel to be welcoming, comfortable, and high quality at every turn. I lived in Albuquerque for many years, but it was only returning for a visit that I finally had the chance to stay at La Fonda. I wasn't disappointed and will return. ...read more

Historic building and beautiful art work. Staff were great. Food was excellent.
It was all we expected and more.

The location of the hotel near the town square and close to the historic cathedral plus the beautiful and historic interior make this a great place to visit.

Wish we had known the bed option would be queen-only, no other option.

The hotel had nice rooms, great location, good atmosphere, and friendly staff.
There was some construction going on but no biggie.

The hotel made you feel as if you were at home. Staff was friendly especially in the Dining room for Breakfast. Although pricey, I would recommend one of the Terrace rooms,it was worth every penny. Parking is onsite and easy to get to from hotel
