Hotel Guest Reviews of the La Quinta Inn And Suites Boston Somerville

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The AC in my bedroom wasn't working well, the room was so hot.

rooms were good, clean, like the fact of a good fridge and microwave, spacious
the shower did not have really hot water, it was warm, breakfast didn't have much selection

not very easy to find because of way the roads are designed but the rooms are great and roomy, the fact that have a refrigerator & microwave is great, the breakfast are not a big deal but are not the worse, did not like the fact that the water is not hot, barely warm, in general is fine

Excellent shuttle service to/from the airport and to the nearest train station.
The location is pretty far away from the downtown core of Boston

The La Quinta Inn in Somerville is a relatively inexpensive way to stay in a hotel in the Boston area. The hotel is located very close to a train station for a short ride to downtown Boston.

Breakfast availability
Placed on smoking floor which smelled terribly Emergency fire doors propped open with rags. Complained 2 times regarding fire hazard and not fixed until second day Gym was only 2 machines

Unless you have to be in that exact vicinity, choose someplace else

Clean and a good value close to Boston.
The coffee! The La Quinta chain serves Nescafé as coffee. It is watered down and does not substitute for the real thing. However, there are drip coffee makers in each room with decent enough stuff.

Clean and a good value. Each room has a desk and plenty of AC outlets at tabletop level. The view is not of the Boston waterfront, but the cost is half that of a downtown hotel.

everything was very nice. the location is super convenient for travel into Boston, but also far enough removed from the hustle & bustle to have more suburban feeling shops & local eateries within a few blocks. free parking. free breakfast until 9 am.
all was as expected, perhaps a bit better. not in a scary area as some thought when they heard "Somerville."

Staff was amazing, the hotel offers free parking, and it's semi-close to Boston. It's a "no frills" type of hotel so don't expect much. Honestly, it should be considered a 2* hotel.
I didn't like the fact that they copied my drivers license and didn't ask for a credit card for incidentals. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest.

When I return to Boston, would I stay here again? Most likely not. It's out of the way, a pain to get to the T, and in a congested area off of I-93. The breakfast was alright but very crowded. Bagels, cereal, and a waffle maker. There's a 99 Restaurant right across the parking lot. The beds were comfy, which is an added bonus. I didn't like the bathroom. A lot of cracks in the tiles and the shower had stains. If you need a cheap place to stay for a night or two, go ahead and book it. If you're planning on visiting Boston for more than a weekend, pay the extra money and stay Downtown. ...read more

Hotel front desk staff ware friendly, courteous and helpful.
The shuttle driver stood at the van door and did not offer to help me or an accompanying young guest lift our luggage and put into the van.

While hotel is adjacent to the freeway, the exit and side street turns are very easy to miss--even in broad daylight.

Clean and the right price!

Clean hotel at the right price. The area is not so safe, so do not plan to be out alone at night and feel safe and do not plan to walk anywhere from the hotel. But the hotel itself, the room, was great for the price!
