Hotel Guest Reviews of the La Quinta Inn And Suites Jfk Airport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Nice and calm room
1. Shuttle to pick us from airport to hotel took more than 45 minutes to reach the airport. Had to call the hotel front desk 3 times and wait in freezing cold for the shuttle to arrive. 2. Toilet flush was not working.

Room was very clean and close to the JFK airport. Cab will be arranged to the nearest subway which is 10 min away. The overall experience rating reflects the comments i didn't like about this hotel.

Next to jfk airport, free shuttle service.
The rooms that we booked called for two separate queen beds. But unfortunately, they were only full size beds.

You get what you pay for.

The suite I stayed in was very nice and comfortable.
The hotel is not located in a very nice area. It is also further away from the airport than many of the other hotels in the JFK area.

Not much I liked about this hotel
It was in the middle of no where. It felt unsafe. It was, in my estimate, the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I was even uneasy walking on the carpet with my shoes on. I have stayed in other LaQuinta hotels before and this doesn't compare.

I would try to avoid this hotel. Cleanliness was certainly an issue. Nothing (bed, carpet) appeared clean. The trash bins by the complimentary breakfast were beyond grungy and something you would see on the side of the road and just a few feet from the food. I arrived late and it looked unsafe to be outside the building. It was in the middle of no where. I left first chance in the morning. It was also very noisy. You could hear lots of people talking, and dogs barking, that were inside and outside the hotel until at least 1 or 2 am. The shuttle driver talked on a cell phone (personal) while driving the shuttle. The receptionist also took personal calls in the middle of checking in people. Think twice ...read more

The room was a size that one would expect for the price in NY.
Public places were dirty, waited for the shuttle for 30 mins in the cold instead of 15 mins as promised. Breakfast was not served at 6 am.

I would stay in this hotel only if I really cannot afford Hilton or Marriott.

It's really far from airport, and two hotels share the shuttle bus. We booked king bed, and would like to switch to two beds. They told us they don't have and finally gave us a queen size. Actually the first floor is half basement, very very noisy.

Now i prefer to spending more money to book hotel like Hilton, Sheraton

very clean modern room...area is typical Queens & very urban...hotel lobby is in basement and no lift to take your bags from the front door to the lobby, but their is an internal lift to take them up to your room. Polite & efficient staff minutes to JFK.

Helpful staff. Located close to JFK. Good continental breakfast.
Pets are allowed. A dog barked well into the night. Room had a narrow walkway between the bed and the furniture at the wall.

Apparently the hotel is used as temporary occupancy for Hurricane Sandy victims and there are few rooms available. One couple was turned away as we checked in with our previously arranged reservation. Motel was a little below our expectations from previous stays at the La Quinta chain.
