Hotel Guest Reviews of the La Quinta Inn New Orleans Causeway
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 2, 2013

Find a better place to stay. After the black out we finally talked to a person at the desk and they moved us to another Laquinta down the road which was fine. They said they were gonna comp the room for our inconvience, That didnt happen we got charge full price for both days. Last time I will stay at La Quinta

When we first rolled up to the hotel I inwardly groaned. It looked a little run down, but don't let it fool you. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was relatively quiet. It is about 10 minutes from downtown, right off I10.

It's a standard open-corridor hotel, but being right next to the road it shakes a lot whenever a truck goes past. Understandable, but the room also shakes whenever anyone just walks past. Try and avoid a room near the pool as it can get very noisy. The rooms look to have been decorated recently and to a high standard. Wi-fi is completely useless even a few rooms away from the lobby. ...

Was the staff great, yes. Was the room clean, yes. Did we feel safe leaving our stuff there, yes. Was there free parking, yes. Is it close to I-10, yes. Was it quiet at night, yes. Was this a luxury hotel with lots of amenities we most likely wouldn't use anyway, no. We were there to experience New Orleans not a hotel room, so we were basically using the room to sleep, shower, and relax before going out at night. If you are staying a day, the French Quarter prices might be worth it. Otherwise, for the 6 days we were there this place was a great deal. ...

This hotel has more of a motel setup with access to all rooms from the outside. Getting to the hotel from the north is a little confusing the first time but is not difficult. Metairie has many restaurants and a mall which are easy to get to from the hotel. Many of the restaurants found in New Orleans have offshoots here. There are several ways to get into New Orleans from this location and traveling back and forth is very easy. ...

There was a major plumbing problem that did not allow us to shower. The lady at the front desk said since I did my transaction through Priceline, there was nothing they could do to compensate for the inconvenience. Bad continental breakfast with bad fruit and not enough room for everyone to sit and eat or even stand and eat. The front desk clerk seemed unconcerned that we were not able to shower bc of our plumbing problem and since we booked through Priceline they said there was nothing they could do to help us?? ...
