La Quinta Inns & Suites Brandon

We came to this hotel because its close enough to hard rock casino and international mall which is where my sister and I took our mother for her birthday. When we arrived, the front desk lady was very nice and smiling the whole time. The whole hotel smelled so clean and looked spotless. Our room was big and also smelt clean. The house keepers so an amazing job because honestly we've never been to a hotel that smelt so clean! Room was fully stocked with shampoos,toilet paper,towels, etc. Breakfast was OK,better than most free breakfast at other hotels. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the complimentary breakfast and the beauty of the pool/spa area. I would recommend this La Quinta as a better choice than competing hotels in the Brandon, FL area, especially having stayed at the nearby Courtyard by Marriott and my familiarity with other area hotels. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the carpeting choice in the room (minor detail that oddly affects the feel of the entire rooming experience). Beds are super-comfortable and HD flat-panel TV has excellent picture and choices of channel lineup. Free Wi-fi is much appreciated, as well. The Continental breakfast goes beyond the standard pastries, coffee & juices and adds self-service Belgian waffles along with a nice assortment of yogurt. Hard-cooked eggs should be eliminated or replaced with ones that are cooked properly (no green lining on yolk and no rubbery texture for whites) - this is challenging for large quantities of eggs at an economical level. ...read more

Everything was great till I had breakfast in lobby and had to be indoctrinated with FAUX NEWS. I can't go back.

Hotel close to interstate I75, road noise from trucks passing very loud at night. I had to where earplugs and it helped marginally.

I was there to sleep but the staff was nice/ I had to switch from the 1st room assigned then noticed the window lock was open/broken after in bed in the second room. I would stay there again but check all the "little" things before unpacking.

We were satisfied with our accommodations and the breakfast.

Shower was difficult to get in because of the high tub side. The floor was slippery (was corrected. Had to get to the office to request a chair for the tub.

The room was a bit on the small side but the beds were quite comfortable and everything was clean. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was nothing special... could've used some more protein options. Location was quite convenient and surprisingly quiet, considering it's proximity to the interstate and shopping mall.
