Hotel Guest Reviews of the Lafayette Hotel Marietta

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel room was not what was booked. Misleading lingo was used. I booked a suite with 2 beds and a "double suite" was literally a Suite with a double bed. Ended up not being able to stay at the hotel because it was fully booked. Got my money back.
The hotel was fine. The language used when booking was misleading and led me to not be able to stay at the hotel.

The room was old and tiny. Not enough room to have a desk, hooks on the wall for hanging cloths. I've stayed in a Microtel before and their rooms are large in comparison. Not a 3 star, 2 at best.

We were exceptionally pleased with the decor and hospitality of the staff, especially the breakfast crew assigned the morning we we left.
Our choice of hotel was random. We did not know what to expect and was delightfully pleased.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and the decor was inviting and homey. The staff was helpful and met our needs without hesitation. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The price we payed compared to the other hotels in the area was unbeatable for the service we received. We will book again when passing through.

Staff was helpful and courteous. I've stayed here before and am always pleased with the location, parking, and overall experience.
Room was small but what I expected for an older city hotel. When I've stayed here before, I had a double which was somewhat more spacious. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

The hotel has a great location on the Ohio River and is well presented in the public areas. I recommend it with the caution that the rooms are traditionally sized for an historic in-town hotel. It is not a chain franchise motel but a charming, well appointed traditional hotel.

Historic look, and vibe. Food was great and staff was warm and very helpful
Not really

Great hotel, with great location. I loved the Historic look and feel. The rooms were vintage and somewhat old fashioned, but i loved it! The room service was great and fast.

Room was small but acceptable for price of 60.00 per night.
I was bitten by bugs! 6 massive bite marks Rt foot, both arms, and back.On medication now for bite wounds. I've sent you pictures and will re-send ones taken today.

If purchasing through Pirce Line leverages hotels so much to the extent they can't make money or maintain basic state health code standards there's no point. I've informed the GM at Lafayette Hotel Mrs Sheila Rhodes I will not be paying for the nights stayed at her hotel there. They will also be receiving bills for my emergency care visit, medications, drycleaning & bug spray purchase. Please contact be regarding this case. ...read more

Beautiful, Old, Historic hotel on the Ohio River with a great staff and well thought out amenities. Food was excellent. Staff actually showed some pride in the operation of the hotel (which is rare).
The carpet on the grand staircase needed to be cleaned or replaced. The audio history in the old phone booths did not work properly.

Single room is very small - barely wider than the bed, but also very reasonably priced. The rooms, while relatively clean, have clearly been repainted over the years (the place is OLD). All the fixtures worked well. The Lafayette is grand and comfortable.
