Hotel Guest Reviews of the Lafayette Inn - Bed And Breakfast
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.July 19, 2012

The area is rural and very beautiful nestled up against the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stanardsville is kind of off the beaten path and there is almost nothing of interest to do in town. Charlottesville is about a half hours drive from the hotel. I chose the hotel because it is very near several of the popular wineries on Virginia's Eastern Wine Trail. The hotel has a rich and interesting history but is in desperate need of a complete makeover. Uneven walkways, peeling paint everywhere and even cracked panes of glass in the room we stayed in. (Dicey's Cottage) The staff was friendly but completely preoccupied with working in the kitchen. We never really met the Innkeepers; they were always in the kitchen. The food was good but served by inefficient/inexperienced wait-staff. On the whole I would say the owners are just scraping bye and could use an infusion of cash and imagination to make the Lafayette Inn a charming and attractive destination. ...
