Hotel Guest Reviews of the Laguardia Airport Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 5, 2013

Traveler beware! Called hotel at 11:30pm, pushed #1 for airport limo, 5 minutes - no answer. Called hotel at 11:35pm, pushed the button for operator, 5 minutes - no answer. Called Priceline to see about getting money back and booking another hotel, Priceline managed to contact the hotel. Front desk said to late for Limo service, "Take taxi". Next morning refused to reimburse for taxi fare, When I politely asked to speak to manager on Friday morning, I was told the manager wouldn't be around until Tuesday morning. During breakfast, I observed a older male employee barking at one of the customers who asked a food question. Employees appear to be very unhappy, and spread the feeling among guests. If after a long day or a frustrating day flying you want more frustration or a confrontation with the hotel, call L.A.H. Would not use again. Too many other respectable hotels around the area. ...

We would definitely stay here again. Very good service (housekeeping service top notch), clean hotel, good amenities. Close enough to public transportation to easily walk - make sure to get unlimited weekly ($31) or monthly ($109) metro card at airport or subway station, you will save sooo much money (each ride is $2.50).

According to a fellow passenger on the shuttle to the airport, the staff had been given notice that the hotel's new owners were going to demo it and build a parking lot. That would explain why the restaurant was closed, and perhaps why there was no hot water!

Besides the issue with parking and having to pay a daily rate AFTER you already booked for your stay, the hotel was OK for the star level. I wasn't expecting too much as I already knew the area and was familiar with the hotels around the airport. However, the hotel was clean and quiet. We didn't have any issues with people roaming the halls or making noise in the middle of the night. There is a little bar/restaurant downstairs and the bartender/server was really friendly and attentive (try the Peach Long Island Iced Tea! :). There is also a breakfast buffet in the restaurant every morning, but don't expect too much selection (basic cereal, breads, coffee and juice). Other than the small shortcomings, the hotel is good if you just need a place to bathe and sleep at night. It is really close to the airport (about 5 minutes literally) and a major highway that will take you anywhere in the city. Not bad for the price and convenience. I would stay here again if I was making a short trip to NYC. ...

This hotel is a bargain with great mattresses, great free breakfast, helpful staff, and amazing location with shuttle every half hour to LGA. If you don't absolutely need WiFi in the evening, go for it.
