Hotel Guest Reviews of the Laguardia Airport Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Room was clean, but outdated. A/C heater was old and ran continuously. Staff has very poor attitude(see review).
They do NOT answer the phone(see review). Did not pick me up at airport as advertised(see review).

Traveler beware! Called hotel at 11:30pm, pushed #1 for airport limo, 5 minutes - no answer. Called hotel at 11:35pm, pushed the button for operator, 5 minutes - no answer. Called Priceline to see about getting money back and booking another hotel, Priceline managed to contact the hotel. Front desk said to late for Limo service, "Take taxi". Next morning refused to reimburse for taxi fare, When I politely asked to speak to manager on Friday morning, I was told the manager wouldn't be around until Tuesday morning. During breakfast, I observed a older male employee barking at one of the customers who asked a food question. Employees appear to be very unhappy, and spread the feeling among guests. If after a long day or a frustrating day flying you want more frustration or a confrontation with the hotel, call L.A.H. Would not use again. Too many other respectable hotels around the area. ...read more

Room very clean. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Room very comfortable size, bed very firm and hot water very hot. Continental breakfast varied and well prepared. Parking spacious. Fairly close to bus stop - 6 small city blocks. Good basic hotel.
No dislikes, well worth what we paid for the stay.

We would definitely stay here again. Very good service (housekeeping service top notch), clean hotel, good amenities. Close enough to public transportation to easily walk - make sure to get unlimited weekly ($31) or monthly ($109) metro card at airport or subway station, you will save sooo much money (each ride is $2.50).

the location, staff, shuttle
There were few tv station choices, restaurant was closed, could only get cold water for my shower.

According to a fellow passenger on the shuttle to the airport, the staff had been given notice that the hotel's new owners were going to demo it and build a parking lot. That would explain why the restaurant was closed, and perhaps why there was no hot water!

The cleaning staff were friendly and were attentive to our needs. Very helpful when we needed them.
I did not see where there were daily parking charges on the website. The hotel charges $18 a day for parking and I felt that was a bit much, especially since have the parking lot was used for "park and fly" people, not hotel customers.

Besides the issue with parking and having to pay a daily rate AFTER you already booked for your stay, the hotel was OK for the star level. I wasn't expecting too much as I already knew the area and was familiar with the hotels around the airport. However, the hotel was clean and quiet. We didn't have any issues with people roaming the halls or making noise in the middle of the night. There is a little bar/restaurant downstairs and the bartender/server was really friendly and attentive (try the Peach Long Island Iced Tea! :). There is also a breakfast buffet in the restaurant every morning, but don't expect too much selection (basic cereal, breads, coffee and juice). Other than the small shortcomings, the hotel is good if you just need a place to bathe and sleep at night. It is really close to the airport (about 5 minutes literally) and a major highway that will take you anywhere in the city. Not bad for the price and convenience. I would stay here again if I was making a short trip to NYC. ...read more

The location was perfect and the staff helpful. Although the reception area and public spaces were a little dingy, the room was large and the beds were VERY comfortable (good mattresses!). Also, the free breakfast was nothing short of lavish. Very nice
The sign was not lit and so the hotel was difficult to find. Also, the WiFi is not powered adequately to serve all the guests in the evening. I tried for over an hour to load the page to check into my flight the next day, but finally gave up.

This hotel is a bargain with great mattresses, great free breakfast, helpful staff, and amazing location with shuttle every half hour to LGA. If you don't absolutely need WiFi in the evening, go for it.

This hotel was nicer than I expected, based on it's star rating. Everything was perfect for an airport hotel. Also, the continental breakfast was very nice, with great presentation.

Very close to Laguardia, 3-minute shuttle ride away. Free wifi, fairly quiet.
Very thin blanket on bed, had to crank up the heat.
