Hotel Guest Reviews of the Lakeside Inn & Casino

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The main restaurant in this hotel was undergoing renovation and was not open. Because the restaurant seems to be a favorite of many and they usually stay to play in the casino for a bit, the casino was like a ghost town and not very inviting.

This really is a
xxx a night hotel. Even the rooms that are supposedly remodeled need to be remodeled again and updated. Unfortunately, our room was right by the ice machine, and early each morning you could hear people filling up their coolers. Next time I will know better.

More than I expected
Thin walls

For the price I paid I wasn't expecting much and was a little nervous about checking in. We were in the back building overlooking the golf course next door. The room was very clean! I felt comfortable. The only (and major) downside to the room was the lack of noise insulation between rooms. The first morning, I could literally hear the man in the next room yawn! As the people around us began to wake up and talk, it became very hard to sleep. If there were any late night partiers, we would have been in big trouble. So, the room was nice and clean...but bring your earplugs. ...read more

The hotel was clean with a friendly staff. For the price, it was well worth the stay. The beds were also very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Unexpectedly nice and great price/value. The central heating system was quiet, effective, and unobtrusive--I'm like the kind which are mounted through the wall.
There are no public spaces and the casino was unpleasant because of cigarette smoke.

I'll certainly check availability first thing when planning a trip to the south lake Tahoe area!

My husband and I enjoyed this hotel for a weekend getaway. Our neighbors smoked daily. We complained & were offered new room, but we did not break the rules so felt it unfair for us to move. Good value. Great location. Nice staff. Clientele average.
I wish I would have known how thin the walls were. Updated building much better than the one closer to registration. Breakfasts were excellent!

Excellent location if you are skiing Heavenly. Prices are great but that means that young and rude people may be your neighbors. You get what you pay for. I would stay again but next time I would know what to expect.

The staff were great, the location was perfect, our only complaint was that the bed was a little hard and the pillows very stiff.

Friendly staff and good rate.
Some stains on the sheets.

Stay was as expected. Rooms were clean, but a little dated. It was a good place to return to after a long day on the slopes.

Jamie at the front desk was amazing and a great ambassador of hope for this hotel - This is an older hotel but it's well kept and a great location
the only thing was everything smells like cigarettes, BUT what can you expect? It's a casino!

we had a great experience and was pleasantly surprised with our stay

The room came with a frig and microwave so it helped us with saving money. We did not have to eat out all the time. We also got free passes to the community center across the street. we were able to use their gym, basketball court and indoor walking paths
The corridors were outside the casino area. Since we went in winter time, we had to suit up before going outside.
