Le Meridien Etoile

Would reccomend this Hotel if you want to be close to attractions. There is a subway less than 2min from the hotel that will take you to most of the attractions Paris has to offer. It's walking distance from the river seine, arc de triomphe, champs-elysees and eiffel towel.

It would be useful to find out if you are getting a room facing the main street - i.e. a room directly above the main entrance of the hotel. We were on the second floor above the entrance - I think the room number was 242 - and it was extremely noisy the first night that was a Saturday. I have no idea if they are aware that we bid for rooms - but I would hope the room we a re given is not selected based on that fact that we bid. Everything else was great - just liker any 4 star would be - be careful before you pick up anything from their fridge - or even move it around - it's charged. Their concierge and staff is very helpful and very good at their job. We had no other complains - it was a very luxurious stay. Definitely use the Air France shuttle if you plan to use CDG. We liked this hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were also very clean. The rooms were small, but you should expect that in a Paris hotel. It would have been nice to have free wifi in the lobby.

good location, convenient equipment. very good choice for biz travelers and couples. No water boiler, which is not good for Chinese apetite. No free wifi.

Fairly easy to get to hotel using metro or better the Air France shuttle, but you may have to walk a bit. Very safe neighborhood and good restaurants close by, but better food a few blocks off the main streets.

This is not a 4 Star Hotel as represented. Motel 6 does a better job. Charges for Wifi, internet and breakfast are complementary at many hotels. It seemed that to ask the Concierge a question was an imposition. They were unfriendly and mostly unhelpful. They didnt even pretend to be helpful. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel the last time. It was substantially better and about the same price. ...read more
