Hotel Guest Reviews of the Le Parker Meridien New York
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 5, 2013
As I was in town for the NFL Draft -- I noticed there is so much construction in midtown these days. So when looking for the hotel it actually located between Avenue of America and 61/2 Avenue (yes this is a new street). There is no name on the hotel -- Keep an eye out for the four flags and DRY BAR as well as valet attendants dressed in grey. I must admit the valet attendants are a little sluggish in offering assistance. However, once inside the service is magnificent in every inch of the hotel. From check in to check out everyone was wonderful. Andrew at the front desk was very accommodating and give us a room in town on the 33rd Floor. The room was great and everything was in working order. We had a great view and everyone we encountered during our stay had a polite disposition from the Bellman, Concierge, Lobby Bar, and restaurant. Rich the massage therapist at Moonshine was great and only enhanced my experience. ...

Good location. Easy to get a cab. A good grocery market nearby as well as several appealing but moderately priced restaurants.

The location and staff of the hotel were excellent. It's easy to get to a number of trains within just a few blocks and 5th Ave. shopping is practically right outside the door. The staff was extremely helpful, especially when it was necessary to take different elevators to get to the gym and pool (the room descriptions were less than helpful). The pool and gym were great, however there is an additional daily charge in order to use them, which was frustrating. I felt they were trying to nickel and dime guests at an already pricey hotel. Also, the pool, while having incredible views, was extremely full of children running around without any supervision. They were swimming into adults trying to do laps on one side of the pool and the staff did not do anything. It is shared space however, it would be helpful to limit one side to "playing" and the other to adults wanting a bit of exercise. ...

Ask for an odd numbered room - chance of getting a view/glimpse of Central Park. One of the windows in our room should be replaced, think the seal was broken....it was clouded over.

If you want to spend a fortune for a hotel in the city go for it. I would not stay here again....not nice enough for the price and the staff was rude.

Great room, great hotel! You must have breakfast at Normas, expensive but worth it! There are a couple of "gotchas." They have a $10.89/day "Facility Fee" which they charge you -after- you check out. No big deal, but I am not certain why this is not included in the hotel rate as their other "fees" are. Their website mentions a "Lazy Checkout" offering Thurs-Sun. with a 3pm checkout. Their website language makes it sound as if it is the standard checkout time during those days, however a)you have to let them know ahead of time and b) there is a $25 fee.....so it really isn't different from requesting a late checkout from dozens of other hotels. ...
