Hotel Guest Reviews of the Loews Don Cesar Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Friendly, helpful staff at every position. Pools and hot-tubs open late. Pool table, Foos Ball, Ping Pong and Air Hockey were free, nice, and available. Beach was clean, big and nice. Pools were large and clean. Free frig upgrade. All about the guest...
Forgot to bring me the mini-frig they offered for free. I had to call back. Cordless phone handset didn't work, offered to fix but I really didn't need it anyway.

Excellent hotel. Really feel like the staff is glad to have you. Just a great experience. Highly recommended. Powerized bathroom doors were a real gas. Rooms, bed, pillows were plush. TV was very nice. Pools and hot-tubs were large and perfect temp. True luxury.

Beautiful architecture, nice pool, great beach and sunsets.
Food and drinks were rediculously overpriced. We didn't buy anything while we were there, went out to local restaurants for a much better deal.

The staff was wonderful and the hotel was beautiful.
I thought the resort fee and parking fee were a little high.

The Beach and Pools were the best. My room was terrible. I was traveling with 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) and we were only given one queen size bed. The children slept on bed while the 2 adults slept on floor. Hotel staff would not accommodate.
The staff were not friendly. Very robot-like. No personality and spoke as if they were reading from. A script. My room was terrible, small and over crowded for a family of 4. Had to share one queen bed, ridiculous.

Terrible staff. Unaccomidating. Small rooms. Poor air circulation in room.

Not easy to manage in terms of parking. Bring your own chair and go further down beach for a more peaceful experience. Pool is very small and crowded. Lots of children .

Great location, directly on the beach. The staff was awesome would take care of anything you needed or wanted. With this hotel it is the little things they provide, newspaper, strawberry infused water, sun tan lotion.

You have to remember it is a hotel built in 1928, but they have made it very high end and the place to stay and the staff takes great care of you. They perform a sunset ritual and have benches on the beach with blankets and bang a gong when sunset hits. Shops are at the lower level of the hotel with a cute ice cream coffee shop located there.

Hands down the best resort/hotel in Florida thus far. Everything exceeded my expectations. Thanks Don Cesar!

Excellent beach location; great pools and wonderfully decorated rooms albeit small.
Resort fee was not included in price. Nor was it mentioned until arrival.

Hotel has an additional resort fee. Everything was wonderful and pleasant with the exception of a bath tub drainage problem which i guess it expected for a historical hotel.

Excellent customer service. Beautiful beach and pool. Food is excellent.
The room assigned to us was very small - barely room to move. They charge an arm and a leg to rent beach furniture. Extra charges add up: resort fee, parking fee, plus taxes on both of these.

The beach is beautiful and in a great location. Walk to Pass-A-Grille. Drive into St. Pete for a day. Great food options at the hotel and nearby restaurants.
