The service was as good as it gets. The thoughfulness in every detail was evident.
The particular room we were given is located right next to a utility room that emmits continuous noise night and day. This is a clear negative imposed on a superb experience otherwise.

We loved the view! Enjoyed the gas fireplace. Location was close to the state beaches. Loved the robes. Good shower.
Not much space for luggage (i.e. no luggage racks) not much dresser space. mini bar is very expensive. We did not use it.

restaurant is pricey but our meals were excellent.

Deluxe king room is comfortable and offers plenty of space for a family.
Everything at the hotel runs very smoothly. The staff is attentive and professional. There is minor road noise from the PCH.

Malibu Beach Inn is an inviting boutique hotel perched above Carbon Beach in Malibu. The hotel rooms are well appointed and spacious and the hotel staff performs admirably. There is a large deck off the hotel reception area that serves both the bar and dining room with a great view of the So. California bight coast and downtown Los Angeles. Great room overlooking the ocean. Fell asleep to the sound of surf.
Open passageways to the room made it feel like a cheap motel.

Rooms completely refurbished with high end materials. All rooms face the ocean - which is about 15 yards away. Great service from the staff. Very good restaurant, albeit a bit pricey. You have to valet park which adds to the cost, but the service was very fast.

Right on the pacific coast highway.

We just took a trip to San Fran, Napa, Carmel and Malibu. This hotel was the nicest. The room was recently updated with great beds, space, fireplace, view, lighting and amenities. Coffee and fruit breads a nice touch in the a.m. along with your hometown paper delivered to your room. The restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced with a phenomenal view, right above the waves. AWESOME! ...read more

Outstanding location on the beach with pounding waves beautiful moom wonderful food.
Liked everything.

Superb not pretentious, attentive staff, very romantic but also fine for children. The location can't be beat right on the beach next to the pier - a real treat.

The customer service was incredible. The food rivaled the best meals we had.
Close to PCH. Could get a little noisy.

I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high-end experience when you never have to travel east of the 405.
