Hotel Guest Reviews of the Marriott Horseshoe Bay Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

very nice palm trail, on-site putting course, nice activity lawn, heated pool. Room was clean and bed/pillows were nice.
it is a little far from grocery stores; the tap water tastes funny. The inroom TV does NOT support HD (which was really surprising to me). Parking was not as convenient as expected--most of the spots were reserved for valet.

The on-site activities are excellent. The putting course has grass turf with sand traps and rough. Many times putting courses are a bit of a turn-off to dedicated golfers, but this was likely the best putting course I have seen. The activity lawn is really nice. We came during the USKG Texas regional tournament (a junior tournament sponsored by US Kids Golf). There is plenty of wildlife in the area--we saw plenty of deer. The Palm trail is a really nice walking trail--it is paved and there are birds/turtles maintained by the hotel. The tapwater tastes funny. You will need to bring a separate supply of drinking water. The golf clubhouse (at Apple Rock and Ram Rock) is less than what you would expect for a resort golf course. I was expecting an area to relax after the round, but there is no indoor facility. Took the shuttle between the hotel and the Caprock complex. The shuttles were running in a timely fashion. The staff was not very knowledgeable about local dining options. While I realize it is a resort and they have plenty of on-site dining options available, I typically like to try out the local cuisine. The Blue Bonnett Cafe is about 10 miles away in the town of Marble Falls. Must try the meringue pies! ...read more

Very nice hotel!
Be careful to watch for the "resort" fee. $26 a day. This is the latest scam by resorts. The Federal Trade Commission is looking into it. Vegas hotels are really using it.

Good property. The golf courses are incredible. The golf staff is excellent.

My wife and I wished we were notified of the resort charges prior to receiving the final bill.

The rooms were nice but the staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful.
Nothing

The hotel was excellent and was very well landscaped. The food was very good and the staff was very helpfully. We went for the golf and I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to go and play golf in the Hill Country of Texas.

Lack of customer service at front desk at check in and check out. Roach in hotel room.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Horseshoe Bay. My husband is an avid golfer and was so impressed with the Whitewater Golf Course.
The overly zealous valet parking team.

Hotel staff was friendly and property well maintained.
Both restaurants and room service food was terrible, the worst we have seen for a resort.

We recommend the spa, marina, and golf facilities. Hotel was very friendly and well maintained. We would not recommend eating here, food was terrible on every occasion. We ate at the resort for all meals and would not do this again.
